Virtually all conceivable waveforms can be generated with the waveform composer software. In addition, it is possible to import a large number of data formats and to combine them with user-defined signals. The waveform composer also supports file formats as are used with oscilloscopes, for example. Synchronization to recorded signals can be supported by markers.

AM, FM, φM, FSK and PSK are available as modulation modes. The payload signal can be selected from a variety of standard and user-defined signal waveforms. Owing to its manifold modulation capabilities, the R&S AM300 can be used in test labs, training centers and universities in development, service and production.
